South Florida cornerback Chris Bivins will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL last week, according to the Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman.
Bivins, who will likely miss some or all of next season, was set to have surgery Thursday. He tore his ACL during practice last week.
It is the second time Bivins has torn the same ACL. He had surgery last winter after tearing the ACL the first time.
Bivins, a true freshman, started the season redshirting, but lost that label in the fourth game of the year. In four games this season, Bivins had just one tackle.
The Bulls are 3-6 this season. After starting the year at 2-0, South Florida lost six games in a row. The Bulls finally snapped that losing streak Nov. 3 when they beat UConn, 13-6.
After an off week last weekend, the Bulls will hit the road to play Miami on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
