The USF Bulls have scheduled their home openers for the 2014 and 2016 seasons, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.

The Bulls will open the 2014 against the Western Carolina Catamounts on Aug. 30, who have struggled in recent years, going 1-10 the last two seasons. The Catamounts faced two FBS opponents this year, losing 52-24 to Marshall on Sept. 8 and ending their year with a 49-0 loss to No. 2 Alabama on Nov. 17. The Bulls will pay WCU $425,000 for their trip to Tampa.

Towson will open the 2016 season for the Bulls on Sept. 3 and if things continue will be a better challenge for the Bulls. The Tigers went 7-4 this season and held their own against their two FBS opponents they faced this year. Towson lost to Kent State 41-21 on Aug. 30 and led LSU in the second quarter before eventually falling to the Tigers 38-22 on Sept. 29. Towson will be paid $350,000 by USF.
