Big East release 2013 conference opponents for USF, UCF

The Big East released the conference opponents for USF and UCF for the 2013 season.

US PRESSWIRE

The Big East released the conference opponents for the South Florida Bulls and the Central Florida Knights for the 2013 season, highlighted with USF heading to Orlando to take on the Knights.

Along with the Bulls, UCF will host UConn, Houston and Rutgers while the Knights will hit the road and face Louisville, SMU, Cincinnati and Temple.

The Bulls will host Cincinnati, Louisville, Memphis and SMU in 2013 and will take on Houston, Rutgers, UConn and UCF on the road.

SB Nation's USF site Voodoo Five was happy with the home schedule, getting their two toughest division opponents at home, but didn't get their wish for a road trip to either Boise State or San Diego State:

It's actually not a disaster for USF, but it does suck for the band of merry folks that enjoy traveling across this great country with their Bulls. We were really hoping for an awesome road trip game either at San Diego State or Boise State before the league dissolves or goes full tire fire. San Diego because it's America's Finest City, or Boise because SMURF TURF WOOO and apparently it's really pretty up there too ... but that won't happen in 2013.

The matchup between the Bulls and the Knights will be the fifth meeting between the two schools, with USF winning all four games from 2005-08. In their last game in 2008, the Bulls won a 31-24 overtime thriller against the Knights in Orlando.

The dates for the Big East schedule will be released at a later date.
