The South Florida Bulls outlasted the Bowling Green Falcons, 87-84, in triple overtime on Friday at USF Sun Dome in Orlando, Fla.
Bulls forward Victor Rudd led all scorers with 29 points, including a game-tying three-pointer near the end of regulation and a basket at the end of the third overtime to lead South Florida to victory.
Bowling Green guard Jordon Crawford had 27 points, all of which came after halftime. The Falcons outscored the Bulls, 34-27, in the second half to send the game into overtime.
Things took a strange turn near the completion of the first overtime period when an electrical issue caused most of the lights in the arena to go out, forcing a lengthy delay. At that point, the Bulls held a four-point lead, but two layups by Crawford in the final 21 seconds of the period sent the game into a second extra frame.
Also in the great state of Florida, sixth-ranked Indiana beat Florida Atlanti 88-52 and Youngstown State defeated Bethune-Cookman 67-51.
